Statement from the Band
This week, we lost a brother and friend to so many. One who shared not only his own humanity, and good-natured spirit… but, the dream of a community much larger than himself. He was a beacon for those searching for family and acceptance.
An indelible voice for peace and love, Bob reminded us that - through music and bonding- we can conquer hate, divisiveness, and that above all else, we are but One Family… “on this shining ball of blue”.
Upon the loss of Jerry, Bobby once asked: "Take your heart and reflect back some of the joy that he gave you... shine it back.” We ask now that you follow his lead: Shine it back. Let it reach those who need it most. Dismantle hatred. Together.
Embrace each other… for all the hopeful possibilities of our future, of peace on this planet, of a place we can proudly call our home.
Farewell, Bob. It was … more fun than a frog in a glass of milk.
